Interior design is key to marketing a new show home, in order to inspire and showcase the best a development has to offer. Purchasers dreaming of a contemporary new home with the wow factor should take a look at the newly launched überhaus show home at Acton Gardens, W3 by Countryside and L&Q. The striking überhaus show home interiors have been carefully designed by Honky Interiors with a signature look that is clean and contemporary, perfectly showcasing the needs of modern living.
Überhauses are homes that, while located in an apartment building, bring together a fusion of a house and an apartment in a truly unique design. Over two floors, the homes includes large terraces for überhaus penthouses and patio gardens for the ground and first floor überhauses.

Katie Harbison, Interior Designer at Honky Interiors comments: “Key inspiration for Acton Gardens comes from the architecture of the site itself. The external appeal of the development comes as a result of the combination of a mix of architects. We were keen to reflect this approach within the furnishing of the überhaus. The design process started with the selection and combination of the principal pieces of furniture. We wanted really relaxed furniture in a range of natural finishes including washed oak and distressed iron to emphasize the subtle palette of the greys. This was then enlivened by the graphic wall coverings we used in the key rooms to give a contemporary feel.”
Katie continues: “We set out to create an interior geared towards a professional couple who are making a step up from single floor living and who are looking to have more space to entertain at home. Therefore, it had to be comfortable and aspirational, yet achievable. My favourite pieces of furniture are the dining table, bench and chairs, which are perfect for a dinner party with friends.”
The three and four bedroom überhauses are designed with flexible flowing living space and expansive floor to ceiling windows to maximise natural light and give these homes a real wow-factor. Each split level property is built to a superb specification. Kitchens feature contemporary fitted units, stone worktops throughout and a range of high quality integrated appliances, while the bathrooms are sleek, featuring white bathroom suites, ceramic tiles and warming driftwood detailing. The homes at Acton Gardens also benefit from a generous outside space, including large balconies, decked terraces or landscaped gardens.
The latest phase at Acton Gardens, West Park Terrace offers a collection of 54 homes, one, two and three bedroom apartments, überhaus apartments and überhaus penthouses. Designed by PCKO Architects, West Park Terrace’s striking design aims to integrate the homes ranging over three, nine storey buildings with neighbouring West Park being complete in summer 2017.

Along with L&Q and London Borough of Ealing, Countryside will create 2,500 brand new homes, regenerating the former South Acton Estate. Green space plays a vital role, with the development providing new parks and open spaces along with a new central square with a supermarket, shops, doctors, dentist surgery, nursery and youth club. There will also be a new tree lined boulevard through the development and a brand new bus service.
With excellent transport connections, Acton Gardens is located within a short walk of Acton Town underground station providing Piccadilly and District Line services into the West End and the City. It is also close to Acton main line station, which will benefit from becoming a station on the Crossrail line set to open in 2019. Residents at Acton Gardens can enjoy the best of city living through superb transport connections but also make the most of green open spaces, thanks to residential tree-lined streets and a communal park square.
Nearby Chiswick High Street offers an exciting range of designer boutiques and a selection of pubs and restaurants. The Westfield regional shopping centre at White City is only 20 minutes away by tube.
