Professionals looking for an executive-style home in Canary Wharf that offers a boutique-hotel feel, concierge service and waterside views should look to Bellway Homes’ Dockside in Turnberry Quay. There is now only one two-bedroom duplex available to buy at the development, close to the business hub of Canary Wharf.
To reflect the modern lifestyle, interior designers, Show Business Interiors chose a muted palette of grey and blue tones, while metallic touches, bespoke artwork and furnishings gave a nod to the locality. Sarah Thompson, Head of Design at Show Business Interiors, explains: “Being so close to one of the world’s largest business hubs, it was important we took our inspiration for Dockside from the locality. The greys nod to the exterior skyscrapers while the blue in the soft furnishings and artwork came from the waterside views. We wanted to create a subtly glamourous feel, which would appeal to all.”
The brief was taken to marry the interior with the sleek, glazed exterior of the building. In line with the trend of nature and sustainability seen in the latest interior collections, Showbusiness made sure to use a variety of natural textures, such as stone, wood and metals.
In the Sandend, two-bedroom apartment over two floors, an oak-floored open-plan kitchen, living and dining area was specially designed to optimise space and light on the lower floor. A door from the dining room extends out on to a terrace, which offers picturesque views across the dock and the sleek Canary Wharf skyline. On the upper level, there is a master bedroom with fitted wardrobes and an en suite, while a second bedroom is served by the family bathroom.
Emma Denton, Head of Sales at Bellway Homes Thames Gateway, comments: “These luxurious apartments have already proven popular among buyers. The interiors certainly reflect the elegance of the Canary Wharf district, making them ideal for modern city living. With only one apartment remaining, we would urge anyone interested to get in touch as soon as possible.”
Canary Wharf is home to a host of restaurants, cafes and bars and both high-end and high-street brands. For those looking for even more choice, shopping centres Canada Place, Cabot Place and Crossrail Place can all be reached in less than 10 minutes by car.
The Dockside development is in a prime location for commuters with the DLR reaching Bank in less than 20 minutes. The introduction of Crossrail in 2019 is set to further improve transport connections. The homes are also easily accessible by car; major roads nearby include the A102 and the A13. For flights, London City Airport can be reached in 10 minutes by car or 30 minutes by rail.
