The Dining Club Group, owner of the UK’s largest dining clubs, [tastecard](http://www.tastecard.co.uk/) and [Gourmet Society](https://www.gourmetsociety.co.uk/restaurants/quiniis.html), is delighted to announce that Annette Court has been appointed as the Group’s new Chair.

Annette brings a wealth of experience to the role. She is currently a non-executive director of the boards of Admiral Insurance Group plc, Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc, Foxtons plc and private equity backed technology company, Workshare. She also sits on the advisory board of Streetgames, a charity that helps disadvantaged young people and is a business mentor for Merryck & Co.

Her previous roles include CEO of European General Insurance of Zurich Financial Services and CEO of RBS Insurance / Direct Line Group.

Of her appointment, Annette says, “I am thrilled to join the Dining Club Group and am excited to be working with such a talented team.

“The Group is offering a new dining approach which aims to revolutionise the way we eat out. I’m looking forward to helping the Group grow and am excited about the future of both brands.”

Originally from Birmingham, Annette now lives in Wimbledon with her partner and two children, aged 11 and 8.

April marks a milestone for both tastecard and Gourmet Society as a record number of restaurant sign-ups has been achieved for both brands combined. 737 eateries were signed up across the UK, including a range of both high-quality independents and popular chains.
