It takes only 1/10th of a second to form a first impression and about 50 milliseconds for people to form an opinion[1]. This is a concept which premium homes developer Millgate is well aware and has left nothing to chance when creating the luxury new development, Knowle Hill Park, in an exquisite parkland setting in Cobham, Surrey.
The lobby has been papered with a luxury textured Sahco wallpaper which oozes elegance and adds detail and warmth at the same time. “It’s a textural sensation that many visitors pause to touch as they pass with the bronze leather effect giving depth to walls, as well as enjoying the appearance,” says Stacey Sibley of Alexander James Interior Design, who lead the interiors team on this project.
The double height ceiling and huge, exquisite chandeliers, the light from which reflects beautifully in the mirrored panels with bronze fret work, furthers the sense of luxury. The chandeliers were sourced by Stacey Sibley, she comments,
“I designed two contemporary bespoke chandeliers that have cascading glass ball droplets that fill this space with light and texture. The two nine meter drop chandeliers hang each side of the staircases. They consists of hundreds of glass fluted tubes that create stunning tiers.”
Jonathan Cranley, Sales and Marketing Director at Millgate comments: “First impressions are crucial so at Knowle Hill Park we wanted to create that sense of delight time and again. From the entrance at the gate house, to the superbly designed atrium, to the apartments themselves – we’ve sought to introduce the ‘wow’ factor at each stage of the experience.”
Ashley Mason, Head of Residential Development South East at Knight Frank, the selling agent for the development, added: “Millgate has once more excelled when it comes to the luxurious apartments on offer at Knowle Hill Park. The entrance to the apartments is simply breath taking – I challenge anyone to walk into that atrium and not immediately feel the need to become part of the development’s bright future.”
