Specialist fund [management company](https://www.financedigest.com/big-companies-manage-to-pass-on-soaring-costs-to-cash-strapped-consumers.html "Big companies manage to pass on soaring costs to cash-strapped consumers") Liontrust today announces the completed acquisition of Alliance Trust Investments Limited (ATI), adding £2.5bn to the group’s AUM.

The investment team, headed by Peter Michaelis, and 11 [sustainable investment](https://www.financedigest.com/where-next-for-sustainable-investing.html "Where next for sustainable investing?") funds have joined Liontrust as part of the acquisition. All 11 funds will continue to be run by the same managers, and will use the same investment process as before.

Following the acquisition the range of funds, the team and the process have been renamed.\*

The Liontrust Sustainable Investment Team brings with it a broad range of existing [equity and fixed income funds](https://www.financedigest.com/global-equity-funds-attract-inflows-for-second-week-in-a-row.html "Global equity funds attract inflows for second week in a row") and a long-term track record: Peter was at Aviva Investors, including as Head of Sustainable and Responsible Investment, for 11 years before moving to ATI in August 2012.
