Today the firm announced the appointment of James C. Trainor as senior vice president in its Cyber Solutions Group. Trainor joins Aon after a distinguished career at the [Federal Bureau of Investigation](https://www.fbi.gov/), where he most recently led the Cyber Division at FBI Headquarters.

Trainor leaves the FBI as its highest-ranking cyber expert. Trainor joined the FBI as a special agent in 1996. Over his FBI career, he served in both overseas and domestic assignments focused on cyber, counterintelligence, counter terrorism, intelligence and criminal matters.
