While there, he helped to form funds, and advised multiple start-ups and corporate spin-offs in the information technology and [telecommunications industries](https://www.financedigest.com/structured-cabling-market-growth-of-it-telecommunication-industry-to-boost-market.html "Structured Cabling Market – Growth of IT & telecommunication industry to boost market"), as well as serving as the venture fund’s legal counsel. In addition, during his tenure at New Venture Partners, Mr. Futter negotiated, structured and documented strategic alliances with Lucent Technologies, British Telecom and Philips and handled the acquisitions of assets and IP of over twenty ventures from those companies and others such as Intel, IBM, Boeing, Freescale, Unilever, IDEO, Maxim and Telstra.
